This is to announce that submission of d0cuemnts proving the place of residence is required for Extension of Stay for Departure and Postponement of the Termination of Departure as identifying foreign residents’ place of residence has also become crucial in containing the spread of infection during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

2. When to Submit: 

When applying for Extension of Stay for Departure (Short-term visitors) and Postponement of the Termination of Departure- Submission of d0cuemnts proving the place of residence is also required when applying for Extension of Stay for Departure using e-Application services- Submission of documents proving the place of residence is required for every application made even when one’s place of residence has not changed. 

 

3. What to submit: Documents proving the place of residence such as Rental/Lease Agreement and Confirmation of Residence/Accommodation.

It means private gaderings are allowed for maximum 4 persons ONLY.

1. Overview of the Measure:

(1) The following is to announce that the visit reservation system will be expanded to immigration offices across the nation in order to alleviate inconvenience of waiting a prolonged time for a procedure as well as to provide better circumstances for civil petitioners when applying for various immigration-related civil petitions. 

-The Visit Reservation System is an online platform where civil petitioners (the person him/herself) can reserve a date and time slot for permissions of stay via online before visiting a jurisdictional immigration office, and make an in-person visit to a relevant immigration office with a printed reservation receipt. 

-Walk-in office visitors may not have his/her civil affairs processed or may have to endure a long wait time if visiting immigration offices without a prior reservation.

2. Available services with prior reservation for visit

(1) Filing for Foreign Resident Registration, Permission for Extension of Stay, Permission for Change of Status, Grant of Status of Stay, Permission for Change of Workplace and other immigration-related reporting and civil petitions.

※ The following services are NOT included:

-(On-site application) Residence affairs for A-1 through A-3 status, General consultation, Registration card pick-up, Certificate Issuance, Postponement of the Termination of Departure;

-(Online application) Re-entry Permit, Extension of Stay for Departure

3. How to reserve a visit in advance

(1) Reserve a visit at the HiKorea website (www.hikorea.go.kr) and visit a jurisdictional immigration office on a reserved date (time slot) with a reservation receipt, and get your work processed at exclusive counters designated for Prior Reservation for Visit. 

(2) Please make sure to have your documents and applications ready to submit for smooth and swift work process as maximum 10 minutes can be spared under visit reservation system.

 전국 출입국외국인관서 방문예약 확대실시 시행 알림

1. 시행 개요

(1) 코로나19관련 민원실 방문자 밀집도를 낮추고 민원인이 장시간 대기하는 불편을 해소하여 보다 쾌적한 환경에서 각종 신청을 할 수 있도록 방문예약제를 전국 출입국·외국인관서로 확대·시행함을 알려드립니다.

 - 방문예약제란 체류허가업무를 신청하기 위해서 민원인(본인)이 미리 온라인으로 방문일자 및 시간대를 예약하고 예약증을 출력하여 관할 출입국·외국인관서를 방문하는 것임.

- 사전에 방문예약을 하지 않고, 출입국·외국인관서를 방문하면 업무처리를 볼 수 없거나 장시간 대기하는 불편이 따를 수 있음.

2. 사전 방문예약 대상

(1) 외국인등록, 체류기간연장허가, 체류자격변경허가, 체류자격부여, 근무처변경허가, 각종 신고 등 체류관련 민원

※ 제외업무

- (현장접수) A-1∼3자격 체류업무, 일반 상담, 등록증 수령, 증명발급, 출국기한 유예

 -(온라인 접수업무) 재입국허가, 출국을 위한 기간연장

3. 사전 방문예약 방법

(1) 인터넷 홈페이지 하이코리아(www.hikorea.go.kr)에서 “방문예약”후 예약증을 소지하고 예약한 일시에 관할 출입국·외국인관서를 방문하여 ‘방문예약 전용창구’에서 민원업무 처리

(2) 예약업무 처리시간이 10분이므로 보다 신속한 업무처리를 위해 신청서 등 제출서류를 반드시 미리 준비하여 주시기 바랍니다. 

4. 시행일자 : 2020. 12. 21. (월)

This is to inform you that Daejeon Immigration Office (26 gil-7, Mokjung-ro, Jung-gu, Daejeon-si) is temporarily closed for days on December 16(Wed.) ~ 17(THU.) due to COVID-19 Quarantine.

 

 Please use e-Application services at www.hikorea.go.kr during the temporary office closure on December 16, or visit either Cheongju Immigration Office (12 gil-52, Biha-ro, Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungbuk) or Daejeon Immigration Cheonan Branch Office (403, Chungnam Bukbu Chamber of Commerce & Industry, 215 Gwangjang-ro, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungnam) for urgent immigration matters.

Nowadays, it is getting strict to review your income, especially, F2 visa holders and F4 visa holders.

F2 visa holders may work as a freelancer, profession, run their own businesses etc. Also, F4 visa holders may do run their own business and work what they want to do except for special jobs.

When you extend or change certain visas from F2 visa and F4 visa, you MUST submit your income certificate to prove your expenses in life or to meet certain criteria (points in F2-7 visa).

If you work as a part-timer, you may forget to report your income to Tax Office but a paid money is reported by your hiring company.

It means if you forget to report your income through a part-time or freelancing job, the paid company reports your payment so even if you forget to report your income etc., it shall be revealed through this process.

If you have any earnings from your job or/and business, kindly report to Tax Office without delay to prevent any kinds of dis-benefits for you.

If you have any incomes, kindly report your income to Tax Office.

최근 소득 증빙에 대해 까다로와지고 있습니다.

특히 F2비자와 F4비자는 직업선택에 자유가 있기 때문에, 프리렌서 직업이나 파트타임 일을 하면서 발생한 소득을 신고하지 않은 사례가 있다고 합니다.

파트타임으로 일을 하더라도 고용주 측에서 지출을 신고하기 때문에 F2비자, F4비자 소지자들은 반드시 소득을 신고해야 합니다.

아시겠지만 소득이 변경되거나 직업 등이 변경된 경우, F2비자 소지자들은 반드시 비자변경 또는 연장 시에 변경된 사항에 대해 신고를 해야 합니다.

특히, F2비자 소지자들의 소득이 변경된 경우, 비자 연장 또는 변경 시에 반드시 소득 관련 서류를 제출해야 합니다. 소득 미신고로 인한 불이익을 받지 않도록 소득이 발생하면 그에 따라 신고하시기 바랍니다.

For reserved persons, you may visit on another day and Sejongno Immigration Office provides you with convenience at that day regardless of the reservation or if you are urgent, you may visit to Seoul Immigration Office (Omokgyo Station) or Seoul Southern Immigration Office.
